Broken Memories

Her tears were broken memories
and tangled emotions falling apart.
Discomplacency and broken compasses
were the things that filled her eyes.
Familiarity with yesterday is far away
while the future ever moves beneath uncertain feet.
Dawn is near but her semi-dulcet eyes,
in which mystery confides, they glance away.
